Job offer

Actor-singers

For the creation of MAMMA MIA! in Geneva in 2027, we are looking for actor-singers comfortable with acting, singing and movement.

Our ambition is to create our own version of MAMMA MIA!: a French-language production that will not be a copy of the London, Paris or any other version, but a fresh reading of this story, inspired by both the stage show and the world of the films.

We are looking for curious, committed artists who want to take part in a true collective creation, and who are not afraid to try, experiment, suggest ideas and step out of their comfort zone.

Particular attention will be paid to personality, acting instinct, stage presence and the ability to tell a story through music.

Our ambition is to recapture all the joy, energy, freedom and sparkle that make ABBA's timeless songs so powerful, while giving this production an identity of its own.

Profiles wanted

The 8 lead roles are open to performers within the age ranges given in the audition pack. Professional stage experience is preferred. Rehearsals and performances will take place in Geneva in 2027. The show is performed in French.

Synopsis

MAMMA MIA! is a joyful, romantic musical built around the songs of ABBA. On a Greek island, Sophie, a young woman about to get married, dreams of having her father walk her down the aisle. After discovering her mother Donna’s diary, she learns that three men could be her father and secretly invites all three to the wedding.

Their arrival brings Donna’s memories, past loves and life choices back to the surface, while Sophie searches for who she is and where she comes from. Through revelations, reunions and misunderstandings, MAMMA MIA! celebrates love, friendship, family and the possibility of starting again.

Director’s note

This production of MAMMA MIA! will not reproduce versions staged in Paris, London or elsewhere. We want to create our own vision of the story, drawing inspiration from both the original stage production and the world of the MAMMA MIA! films.

The musical score remains faithful to the original work. The songs will be performed in French, using the French-language versions, to give the production coherence and a close connection with its audience.

We are looking for curious, generous, committed and bold artists who are not afraid to test, experiment, contribute ideas and create with us. We want to build a lively, generous and deeply human production: our MAMMA MIA!, while respecting the work that inspired it.
